让我来随便数一数有些什么东西美国人民要努力学习，才能变成一个更好的世界合作伙伴。
计量单位
美国用的是英制，不用km用mile，不用升用加仑，不用厘米用寸，用华氏不用摄氏，连螺丝钉都是英制的，一套普通扳手还不合适。从前美国是老大，老大有自己的一套，合情合理，但是如果要做合作伙伴，是不是应该不要别树一帜，而应该去跟一下风，用公制，搞好群众关系呢？美国这边的物理书，看着就很别扭，例如：假设有一辆车从零均匀加速，10秒后到达100km/h（即62.14mile/h），问加速度是多少？ -_____-
要改变度量衡，的确是需要决心和胆量的，但如果明知道结果是正面的，就要恨下这个心。
半斤就是八两那是中国多少年的习惯，照样能改，这是香港1985年的宣传片（这里还有）开始用十进制。长痛不如短痛！
电压
总所周知，美国用的是110伏的电压，但世界上除了北美两个大国和寥寥可数的几个国家之外，绝大部分都是用220伏的。还是那句话，当老大可以鹤立鸡群，如果想当伙伴，这又是另一个捉襟见肘之处。
也还是香港，1992年从200伏升压到220伏，就是为了与世界接轨。当然了，从200升到220，从技术上来说，比从110到220要容易，起码电器不需要更换，但与世界接轨的最终目的倒是相同的。另外，其实美国现在每家每户用的电炉，接的就是直接从外面进屋的220伏电源，所以普及220根本不是什么不可能的事。
金融体系
当年我拿着一摞加币（一摞的意思就是一点）来到美国，想在银行开个加币户口，职员告诉我，除非你是商业账户，而且有最低开户限额，否则我们只能开美金帐户，你换了美金存进来吧。我晕，我在中国也好加拿大也好，开个美金账户跟开个本国货币帐号一样手续，从那时候起，“落后”这个词开始在我脑海里和美国挂钩了。当美金作为一种强势的货币在世界金融里面扮演像黄金一样的角色时，骄傲的美国人认为你在美国根本不需要持有任何其他货币的这种假设，是十分合理的。但当欧元崛起，美金贬值的近几年，人们渐渐开始需要开设一个别的货币户头，如果社会没有这种服务，就是“落后”了。

我很好奇，为啥加国用的大多是公制？
电压不是问题，关键是输电系统，北美都是3相4线，零线和地线接在一起，这样很容易引起链锁反应，大停电还是很容易再次发生。

the whole world is still paying for the price of americans’ mistake by suffering the hyper inflation that the states export. all these differences america has and stubburnly insist from the rest of the world is only for one reason, it can afford it. by the time it can not, it will change naturally. especially for an economy like this.
the big change that will fundamentally change american is coming: there will be a new legislation to impose 20% or more downpayment for all the mortgage lender. this will change american from lavish spender into saver, because owning a home is the essence of american dream. once the americans tightening up their belts, they won’t be able to afford a lof of things that they are paying right now. so, the same old thing, change the finance, everything else changes accordingly.
