"I measure my wealth in time — the one resource that for each of is completely unrenewable yet available in an utterly unknown quantity. When I am able to roll out of bed in the morning and decide to do only what I choose to do, versus what I ‘have’ to do, then I will be wealthy." — Jules
I measure my wealth in degree of freedom, which means even you have more choices then others, but if you don’t want to, you don’t have to choose at all. Then, I will be wealthy. – wy
I measure my wealth in fear, pressure and uncertainty — mostly inner factors.
When a person’s income exceeds the medium-high level, more income does not bring happiness, but pressure and fear from uncertainties. I believe that the degree of one’s wealth is inversely proportional to the degree of one’s uncertainties about career, family, health and etc. From a recent poll, American’s average perceived wealth and happiness are far below those of smaller countries in Europe and Latin America, despite the fact that American is the richest country in the world (with the smartest business men :).
Just my $0.02 =)
you are damn right!
I measure my wealth in my ability to capture happiness, which means even If I am doing things that I hate,I still can dig something interesting from it or,If I have the ability to turn it out to b enjoyable. Then ,,,,,,I will b wealthy.
